Frequently Asked Questions
We’ve answered some of the most common questions below, but if you need more details, feel free to reach out via Live Chat or email us at support@wedgematrix.com.
How much can I expect to improve?
Improvement varies for each golfer, but this short game program provides all the tools, resources, and guidance you need to succeed. Many of our members have seen huge gains in their short game skills. Check out their progress in our forums for real success stories. Ultimately, with WedgeMatrix and James’s expertise, the more effort you put in, the greater the results you’ll see.
Can I learn at my own pace?
Absolutely! The content is structured step-by-step, but you have the freedom to focus on what you want, when you want. Whether you prefer a structured approach or want to dive into specific areas of the short game, WedgeMatrix is designed for you to explore and improve at your own pace.
Am I able to ask questions?
Yes, absolutely! Our dedicated community forum is the perfect place to ask questions and get detailed answers. You’ll receive guidance directly from James and interact with fellow golfers who are also improving their short game. This isn’t just a collection of videos—it’s a community built for learning, sharing, and growing together. You can also save content to your playlists, building out lists that cater to your specific needs.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription whenever you like. Whether you’re on a monthly or yearly plan, you’ll retain full access to all features and content until the end of your current billing period. This way, you can enjoy everything WedgeMatrix offers right up until your subscription ends.
What’s included in a subscription plan?
A WedgeMatrix membership includes two products — the Academy and WM Track.
The Academy gives you: all training plans and the full Technique Builder, 100+ short game videos, Faults & Fixes, Bunker Play, Trouble Shots, Approach Wedges and more, live lesson archive and monthly live sessions with James Ridyard, members-only community and direct Q&A, and tour insights and strategy content.
WM Track gives you: WM Score — your short game rated 0–100 against tour benchmarks, 10 WM Games — competitive practice challenges across every shot type, Strokes Gained tracking by lie, distance, and difficulty, AI coaching analysis after every session, Today’s Practice — a personalised session plan built from your recent data, and coach dashboard integration.
Both are included from day one. No extras to unlock.
Will I really improve my golf by watching videos?
Yes — and with WedgeMatrix, you’re not just watching videos. The Academy teaches you the techniques and strategies that work on Tour. WM Track, included with your membership, shows you whether those techniques are actually translating into better shots.
Members use the Academy to understand what to change, then head to the range with WM Track to practise it, score it, and get AI coaching feedback on how it went. The combination of learning and measuring is what drives real, lasting improvement — not just better understanding, but better scores.
What is WM Track?
WM Track is WedgeMatrix’s practice and performance app, included with every paid membership. It turns every range session into scored, tracked data — logging your shots, measuring your Strokes Gained against tour baselines, and delivering AI coaching analysis that tells you exactly what to work on next.
Think of the Academy as the classroom and WM Track as the practice ground. Both are part of your membership and designed to work together.
What is the WM Score?
The WM Score is your personal short game benchmark — a single number from 0 to 100 that rates your short game against tour data. It updates after every WM Track session so you always know where you stand and can see your progress over time.
A score of 80 is tour standard. Most club golfers start between 30 and 55. Watching that number climb is one of the most motivating parts of using WM Track.
How do I access WM Track?
WM Track is a separate app from the Academy, available at track.wedgematrix.com. Once you have an active WedgeMatrix membership, log in using the same email address and you’ll have full access immediately. It runs as a web app on your phone — no app store download required, and you can add it to your home screen for quick access.
Is WM Track available without an Academy membership?
WM Track is also available as a standalone subscription at $19/month — no Academy required. If you already have an active Academy membership, WM Track is included at no extra cost. Sign in at track.wedgematrix.com using your existing email.
